LUAR is set to be one of the biggest names in fashion. The brand was founded in 2021 by Raul Lopez, the co-founder of Hood By Air. Cash App Bitcoin powered Luar’s NYFW runway show called “La Alta Gama”, which translates to “The High End”, and focuses on hispanic family reunion, micro-memories from the late 1989’s. We partnered with Luar to drive awareness to Cash App’s bitcoin offerings and reinforce that bitcoin is for everyone. We did a bitcoin giveaway for staff, models, VIPs, and all attendees; and found 97% were new to Cash App giveaways. Collaborating with Luar reinforced Cash App’s ability to tap into culture and engage with talent before they’re mainstream. In addition to partnering with their Afterparty, Cash App also exclusively sponsored Luar’s One Year Anniversary Dinner with Raul Lopez and his VIPs, like Solange Knowles and ASAP Ferg.
